CalPortland, a leader in the building materials industry since 1891, is seeking a Ready Mix Plant Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of our ready mix concrete plant. This pivotal role ensures efficiency, oversees production quality, and leads safety initiatives, aligning with our commitment to sustainable construction solutions. The successful candidate will manage both personnel and the operational aspects of the plant, driving continuous improvement and upholding our standards of excellence in all production and compliance responsibilities. Oversee daily operations of the ready mix plant, including production, maintenance, and safety programs. Manage and develop plant personnel, promoting a strong culture of safety and professionalism. Monitor quality control of materials and end products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. Implement cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures, budgeting, and scheduling. Ensure environmental compliance and enhance sustainability initiatives. Coordinate with other departments to optimize supply chain and logistics. Report to senior management on process improvements, achievements, and challenges. Strong leadership and management skills. Proficiency in production scheduling and control. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
