Position SummaryGreen River is hiring Nursing Adjunct Instructors. Applications are reviewed weekly.DESCRIPTION:Opportunities to teach within the Health Sciences and Family Studies Division at GRCC. Teaching options may include, Fundamentals of Caregiving (FOC), Nurse Assistant (prep for CAN), Community Lab or PN courses.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Master's degree in Nursing required for ALL Practical Nursing and ADN courses)* Three years recent acute or long term nursing care experience for Practical and ADN Nursing faculty; one year long term/chronic illness care for Nursing Assistant faculty* Eligible for or have unencumbered a Washington state RN/PN license; must be obtained as a condition of employmentSupplemental InformationSALARY: The starting salary listed below includes payment for outside class preparation, evaluation, and meeting withstudents as needed before or after class to assist them with learning problemsassociated with course materials. Medical, dental, life and long term disability insurance benefits are provided as currently administered under the Public Employees Benefits Board.Adjunct faculty who initially meet the State Board Retirement Plan Eligibility criteria after June 30, 2011 are given the option to participate in the State Board Plan (TIAA-CREF) or to participate in TRS 3, and have 30 days to make a choice. The eligibility threshold for participation in the State Board Retirement Plan (TIAA-CREF) is 50 percent of a full-time workload* at one or more college districts or the State Board for two consecutive quarters.
