The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS),-Space and
Launch-Division is seeking an-Experienced Mechanical-Systems
Engineer (Level 3) to support the team in Puget Sound, WA.- The
position provides an opportunity to work with an experienced,
interdisciplinary team to develop a unique system to meet
challenging requirements on a dynamic development program.- Along
with this program the Puget Sound site supports a large portfolio
of products including commercial airplanes, and-military commercial
derivatives.The-Space and Launch-Team creates the next generation
products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with
proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation
technologies in space.- Our team-focuses on rapid prototyping to
demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of
customers.- Our group works all facets of engineering from
technology investment, concept development, proposal writing,
requirements and design, build, integration, test, and
demonstration of products in their relevant environments.This is a
union represented position.Position Overview:The-Experienced
Mechanical-Systems Engineer will be a part of a high-performing
team that are immersed in high intensity development projects.- As

environment.- As an-Experienced Mechanical-Systems Engineer you
will collaborate with teammates, design, implement and test,
which-support our Space and Launch operations.Position
- Supports the development and documentation of structural and
mechanical design to establish the overall system design.
- Supports the development, maintenance or modification of
system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide
design documentation to downstream groups.
- Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems
and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Contributes to supplier development, test and production
activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and
achieve program goals.
- Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to
provide installation and detail documentation.Work
Authorization:This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret
Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).- (A U.S. Security
Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered
active).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 5 years or more of experience in-mechanical systems design-and
analysis-on aerospace platforms or similar highly regulated
products.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in development, build and test of spacecraft.
- Experience with mechanical and system integration.
- Experience with mechanisms design.
- Experience assisting with Finite Element Analysis efforts with
an emphasis in structural dynamics or thermal analysis.
- Experience with CATIA, Teamcenter, or other industry standard
CAD and FEA tools.
- Experience working across multiple disciplines in a rapid
- Prior history working in a classified environment.Typical
Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced technical education from an accredited course of
study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not
required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers
