Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an energetic and results oriented First-Line Core Quality Engineering Manager (Level K) to join our Fabrication Quality Team in Auburn or Everett, WA.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable and competent professional who possesses the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. Transformational leadership skills will be vital to build team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives including One Boeing Production System, Operator Verification, Defect Reduction and Optimization of the product conformance processes across Fabrication.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities in support of the manufacturing business units through all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Lead change and improvement across the production system
  • Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  • Teach and rely on structured problem-solving methods to resolve issues and drive improvement
  • Understand and teach current standards, policies and requirements
  • Communicate with internal and external regulatory and compliance officials and support onsite audits
  • Lead and support implementation of the Built-in Quality and improvement initiatives across Fabrication using understanding of established and regulated production and quality system
  • Implement solutions and drive decisions effectively through reliance on heavy data analysis
  • Utilize new and innovative approaches including advanced process and production oversight methods and new technology throughout the course of their assignment This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering
    • 3+ years of Leadership experience (people, teams, projects, etc.)
    • 3+ years of experience using or managing root cause analysis and corrective action.
    • Proficiency in Office software including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Strong communication skills Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
      • 3+ years of experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
      • 3+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment
      • A strong belief, association or commitment to safety and well-being and Incident and Injury Free leadership is required
      • Transformational leadership experience including leading changes in processes that affect daily work of team members will be given strong consideration Relocation

        This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
