seeking a Senior Deputy Chief Engineer - Fabrication Hard Metals
and Actuations. The Senior Deputy Chief Engineer will be the
primary delegate for the Hard Metals and Actuations Engineering
Executive Director. This is an exciting new role to help strengthen
the integration across the Fabrication Hard Metals and Actuations
sites which consist of Helena, Portland and Sheffield (United
Kingdom).Successful candidates will have prior demonstrated success
in developing and maintaining productive relationships with
customers, stakeholders, and peers, as well as strong
problem-solving skills, a willingness to take initiative, and the
ability to partner across multiple engineering functions, business
segments, and geographic areas. They will also have prior
experience working in high-paced critical-flow production
environments and a proven track-record of being adaptable to
changing demands.This role will initially have primary
responsibility supporting the Helena Engineering team to ensure
successful statement of work growth in addition to meeting existing
site deliverables. Manages employees and first-level managers
performing engineering and technical activities in the area of
Production Engineering. Develops and executes integrated
departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on
departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical
management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops
and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers,
stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides
oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and
processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and
first-level managers.All candidates will be considered based on the

Responsibilities:
- Engineering Integration leadership role across Portland,
Helena, and Sheffield Fabrication Sites.
- Lead production engineering teams with a commitment to safety,
quality and integrity.
- Develop and maintain high-trust relationships with all
customers, peers, and direct reports; meet commitments to all
stakeholders.
- Develop and execute integrated program plans, policies and
procedures; provide input on business and technical strategies,
goals, objectives
- Manage operational budgets and Create resource plans, hiring,
and lead team development.
- Partner with Production & Industrial Engineering skill teams to
acquire and retain skilled employees to execute statement of
work
- Manage, develop and motivate employees and front-line
leaders.
- Ensure continuous production support to enable safe, stable,
and standard production system operations across all shifts
- Foster culture of continuous improvement to reduce cost,
improve quality, increase productivity, and maintain high employee
job satisfaction.
- Implement Boeing Production System and Program Management Best
Practices to manage performance to plan (e.g., budget, staffing,
schedule, quality, etc.).
- Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management.
- Lead integration and deployment of Model-Based Engineering and
2nd Century Enterprise Systems initiatives for Hard Metals and
Actuations sites.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches,
products and processes.
- Champion process and productivity improvements.This position is
expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at the listed location option.The position
must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US
Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person"
includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or
asylee.Basic -Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 3+ years' experience working in a tooling, manufacturing or
fabrication environment
- 2+ years of management experience working in a production
engineering role or manufacturing environment.Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience as a Production or Industrial Engineer or leading
teams of Production / Industrial Engineers
- Experience partnering with global, geographically diverse
teams
- ABET accredited engineering degreeRelocation: This position
