Job Description Job Description A large, well-established industrial food manufacturing facility in the Pacific Northwest is looking for a Refrigeration Manager (direct hire) . This role is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of ammonia refrigeration and plant utility systems while leading and developing a skilled technical team. This position is ideal for a hands-on refrigeration leader with strong safety discipline, preventive maintenance expertise, and experience managing industrial ammonia systems in demanding production environments. APPLY NOW Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations for ammonia refrigeration and related utility systems, ensuring uninterrupted plant support and strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, and associated mechanical equipment Drive continuous improvement through PM programs, capital project planning, cost prioritization, and reliability-focused maintenance strategies Develop and train refrigeration personnel, manage audits (EHS, FSQA), and serve as a key leader for HazMat and emergency response initiatives Qualifications 5 years of hands-on industrial refrigeration experience, including ammonia systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role Strong technical ability to diagnose system failures, manage hazardous materials safely, and respond effectively to emergency situations Industrial Refrigeration Certification (or ability to obtain) and working knowledge of safety programs related to ammonia and PSM environments Bachelor's degree in refrigeration, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and industrial experience Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $105,000-$135,000 Performance-based incentive eligibility Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, HSA/HRA options, 401(k) with company match, paid parental leave, and wellness programs 20 days of PTO to start , plus 10 paid holidays Commuter and transit benefits available * Relocation Assistance Available * This is a strong opportunity for a refrigeration leader seeking long-term stability, responsibility, and impact in a critical plant operations role.
