Associate Software Developer Engineer to support our P-8 Mission
Systems Software team located in Kent, Washington. This position
will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security
Services (BDS) Software Engineering organization. In this position,
you will be responsible for designing and developing Mission
Systems software, testing, and supporting system functionality
including operational support. This position will focus on
supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security Services (BDS)
Software Engineering organization. You’ll be an integral part of
supporting the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) P-8
Poseidon program, which is the premier Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)
platform for the US Navy and several international partners.
Upcoming contract awards have enabled team expansion and growth.
This franchise program is anticipated to continue to be a stable
program for the foreseeable future. We are seeking a mid career
engineer that is passionate about aerospace and excited to work in
a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that
supports the design, development, and implementation of software
for existing and emerging government and international programs.
This exciting position requires demonstrated experience as a
Software Developer Engineer, knowledge of the full software
development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test), and the
clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to
engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities for
multiple programs and customers. Demonstrated critical thinking and
troubleshooting skills are required. Position Responsibilities: -
Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of
non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that
meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards. -
Assists with review, analysis and translation of customer
requirements into initial design of software products. - Supports
development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software
products and functionalities for systems integrations. - Supports
development, documentation and maintenance of architectures,
requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software
products. - Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified
to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products. -
Participates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical
issues and user feedback analysis. - Supports implementation of
current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in
regulations relevant to software development. - Supports
development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software
processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects
with organizational goals and industry benchmarks. - Supports
execution and documentation of software research and development
project. - Assists with performing software project management
activities and software supplier management functions. - Supports
tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance
to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and
industry standards. Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience): - US Citizenship required - Ability to obtain a
Secret U.S. Security Clearance - Bachelor of Science degree from an
accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology,
mathematics, data science, or computer science with 1 or more years
of engineering work experience. - 1 or more years of engineering
work experience in: - Java (preferred), C++ or C programming
language experience - Linux or Windows development environments -
Agile software development processes Preferred Qualifications

Software Requirements experience - Interface design and control
document experience - Troubleshooting H/W and S/W issues in a
complex environment - Scripting languages: XML, Pearl, Python -
Exposure to Object Oriented Design - Use case development -

design - Experience in Weapons Integration on military platforms -
Experience in engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical,
mechanical, software engineering) applied to product related
systems throughout the product development life cycle, from concept
development to deployment - Experience with implementation,
validation, and verification processes, practices, and guidelines
to ensure software development quality, performance, and safety

considerations. Summary Pay Range: $106,250 - $143,750 Applications
