The Microsoft Azure Business Development Manager will be responsible for increasing sales revenue and gross margin for the solution portfolio. This individual will work alongside the sales and PPM organization to grow Azure sales and services revenue, acquire net-new accounts, and increase Azure consumption. They will also act as an internal and external resource working with the Zones Cloud Solutions team to drive relationships and alliances with Software sales and channel organizations.

Results should include:

Increased Microsoft cloud net new customers
Increased Microsoft cloud utilization/consumption
Drive new integrated solutions offerings and services
Deliver weekly business reports and analysis

The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for:

Microsoft Azure Consumed Revenue growth
Software ISV Co-Sell wins
Number of End-user customers buying
Number of opportunities registered/closed via CSP and EA
CRM opportunities assigned
Proof of concepts approved and completed
Successful appointments / customer visits
Lead Azure and Zones training's to support and service the sales organization and end-user customers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Strong customer relationship and consultative selling skills
Proven track record of business development or account management
Strong team player that is goal and action oriented
Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans
Excellent communication and presentation skills

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in relevant field and/or proven experience in IT industry.

Certifications/Licenses/Etc.

Microsoft-specific sales and/or technical experience
IT Certifications with cloud experience a plus
A strong candidate will have a background in software sales, business development or account management

Required Experience

Demonstrated customer relationship and consultative selling skills
Proven track record of business development or account management
Understanding of technologies that drive solutions
Effective at developing and executing strategic sales plans
Demonstrated ability to work independently and be accountable for all deliverables

Microsoft cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure)
Data Center software vendors (Veritas, Citrix, Trend Micro,Redhat, etc)
