Travel Diagnostic Radiology RN Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Seattle, WA Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology RN for a 15 week travel assignment in Seattle, WA. Required Qualifications: One year of recent experience as Diagnostic Radiology RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications: Current PALS (AHA/ARC) Certification Current Radiology Nursing Certification (CRN) Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary: Radiology nurses specialize in providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing diagnostic radiology procedures. They perform assessments, plan and coordinate care, monitor patient responses, and educate patients and families on procedures and post-procedure expectations. Radiology nurses work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and effective care throughout the diagnostic process. Essential Work Functions: Complete nursing assessment of patients in the Radiology department and document appropriately into patient record Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care Monitor patients' responses to throughout procedures and report outcomes Administer medications as ordered with appropriate documentation Initiate intravenous access lines, monitor vital signs and oxygen saturation during procedures Administer special dyes/contrast mediums into patients Administer barium enemas/solutions prior to procedures Administer analgesia and sedation as ordered by physicians Practice proper radiation protection Reassess patients after their procedure and provide care until they are ready to be discharged Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies Transport patients as needed ensuring their safety and comfort Follow hospital safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of radiology nursing practice Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
