Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Washington, WA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - General Medicine WA and Make a Difference VHS is seeking experienced and dedicated General Medicine Physicians to provide vital assessment services for our nation's Veterans. This rewarding role involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations in Washington. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD or DO) with a license to practice in Washington State Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluation procedures Strong interviewing skills and ability to perform physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and efficiently manage own schedule Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience conducting C&P exams or similar assessments Knowledge of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical procedures Certification in relevant specialties or additional training related to veteran assessments Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related fields Experience working in a fast-paced or assessment-specific environment is advantageous Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams is a plus but not required Other Requirements: Candidates must have their own office location or be within 30 miles of designated sites in Oak Harbor, Aberdeen, or Grand Coulee, WA Willingness to work on a PRN basis with flexible hours, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts No prescribing or direct treatment involved; exams are interview-based with limited physical assessment Quick credentialing and onboarding process Local candidates only; travel costs are included within rates Completion of required training and first exams bonus of $650 upon fulfillment Earn a competitive hourly rate of $624.00, with flat rates of $800 for half-day shifts and $1,600 for full-day shifts.
