Our esteemed organization is looking for committed professionals to provide essential Compensation & Pension examinations and Separation Health Assessments across Washington State. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to vital veteran services while enjoying a flexible, PRN schedule that fits your expertise and availability. What You Will Do: Conduct interview-based examinations, including physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, to assist in veterans’ benefits evaluations. This role involves no prescribing or treatment, focusing solely on assessments essential for veteran health records. You will perform both one-time non-treatment exams and ongoing assessments on a PRN basis, with opportunities for half-day or full-day shifts, depending on your preference. Required Skills: Board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields Strong interview and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Skills: Previous experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations Knowledge of veteran healthcare protocols Experience with physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle testing Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution State licensure in Washington At least 1-2 years of clinical experience, preferably in general medicine or veteran-focused care Other Requirements: Candidates must be local to Washington State; travel is included in the compensation rates Credentialing and onboarding are quick and streamlined No reimbursement for certifications or portal training before start Availability for scheduled assessments at designated locations or your own office (must have own office for provider-owned location options) Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate of $624.00 Flat rates: $800 for half-day (4 hours or less), $1,600 for full-day (5 hours or more) One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and initial exams Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time, and travel reimbursement where applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated support team committed to your success throughout your assignment VHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer (“EEO”)/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/E-Verify Employer and welcomes all to apply LiveYourLife Seize this rewarding opportunity to support our veterans while advancing your career—apply today to become a vital part of our mission to serve those who served us.
