As an engineer in this organization, you contribute directly to how
customers experience interactions with Amazon and how support
engineers resolve highly complex and technical issues for
customers. You own projects from inception to delivery, seeking to
deliver results in a fast paced environment. You will work with
highly qualified team members, product managers and experience
designers to raise the bar on delighting customers.
Our technology platforms continously change to meet customer needs,
lower operational costs and burden, and to innovate. We currently
use AWS technologies like Lambda, API GW, Node Js in our stack.
Knowledge of front end technologies like React are desirable.
Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for
driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest
growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level
customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team
interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class
support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners
with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical
applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
Design, Develop Software that meets or exceeds customer needs,
operational needs
Work with Product Managers, Software Development Manager, UX
Designers/Researchers to identify needs
Collaborate with and mentor junior members on the team
About the team
Ballista is a two pizza team delivering on the charter of a single
pane of glass for troubleshooting experiences used by 6000+ support
engineers worldwide in distributed sites. These experiences (in the
Troubleshooting Console or TSC product) help solve end customer
issues and need to be highly available (99.9+% availability) with
redundancy to support mission critical processes. The team also
owns APIs used by the serverless front-end powering the above
mentioned experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non- professional software
development experience
- 2+ years of non- design or architecture (design patterns,
reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle
Professional)
- Experience programming with at least one software programming
QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle,
including coding standards, code reviews, source control
management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US
geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from
$115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year
in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of
factors including market location and may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total
compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity,
sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided
as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full
