Job Description
The client is searching for an experienced Senior Web Application Architect to work within an agile team of software developers. The role involves implementing and maintaining secure, scalable, cloud-based software solutions, building customer integration solutions, and streamlining software delivery tools and processes. A strong technical aptitude, team-minded attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Applicants should be top-notch full-stack developers with a focus on backend service-oriented architectures, scalable system design, databases, data models, and API-driven models.
Job Responsibilities

• Promote a DevOps culture within a small team of Senior SDEs and SREs to deliver modern, scalable SaaS software across multiple cloud providers.
  
• Collaborate daily with product leadership to define architecture, goals, and deliverables, including prioritizing the JIRA backlog and upcoming sprints.
  
• Architect and lead the implementation of the company's flagship SaaS platform using microservice approaches with technologies like Node.js, Express, GraphQL, Python, Django, C#, and .NET Core.
  
• Assist in implementing user-facing web applications using modern MVC, MVVM, and SPA frameworks such as React.js.
  
• Adhere to software development best practices to create maintainable and extensible solutions.
  
• Utilize modern CI/CD tools and methodologies for daily product releases.
  
• Work in an agile environment with transparent and fluid communication within the engineering team and across other departments.
  
• Collaborate with the product owner to understand requirements and design appropriate solutions.
  
• Contribute to platform stability, availability, and quality alongside Senior SREs.
  
• Enable SREs to have visibility and responsibility for code operation functions.
  
• Interact directly with SREs and customers to triage, debug, and resolve production issues.
  
  Experience and Qualifications
  
  
• Higher-education degrees in STEM fields or relevant vocational certificates are preferred but not required; real-world experience is highly valued.
  
• At least 5 years of professional experience architecting SaaS, cloud, web, and mobile applications.
  
• Over 7 years of programming experience with languages and frameworks such as React, Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, Ruby on Rails, Python, Django, C#, and .NET.
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Linux system administration, IaaS, PaaS, and container/orchestration technologies.
  
• Experience shipping products in a continuous delivery environment using client-side JavaScript frameworks and backend languages in a service-oriented architecture.
  
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes or similar tools.
  
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, CouchDB, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Redis.
  
• Strong understanding of modern API design patterns (REST, GraphQL, JSON).
  
• Knowledge of source control systems such as git and workflow patterns like GitFlow.
  
• Familiarity with Big Data systems like Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Spark, Kafka is a plus.
  
• Understanding of privacy-by-design frameworks and security techniques is a plus.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills are required.
