Job Description:
Amazon Aurora DSQL is a serverless, distributed SQL database
with virtually unlimited scale, highest availability, and zero
infrastructure management. Aurora DSQL provides active-active high
availability, providing strong data consistency designed for 99.99%
single-Region and 99.999% multi-Region availability. Aurora DSQL
automatically manages and scales system resources, so you don't
have to worry about maintenance downtime and provisioning,
patching, or upgrading infrastructure. Key job responsibilities As
a Software Development Manager on the storage team, you will be
responsible for leading a strong team of software engineers to
build a high performance storage service / engine that is able to
support all types of database workloads. You will be responsible
for mentoring and coaching a high performing team of engineers with
expertise in both low-level and distributed sysetms You be
responsible for the full development life cycle and and operation
of services. You will with the product team and other engineering
teams to help build the roadmap and ensure the right thing is being
built and delivered to customers. A day in the life You will take
on a variety of tasks, balancing priorities to ensure the team's
success: - Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute
roadmaps, projects, and other commitments. - Set clear, measurable
goals for the team and regularly communicate status of development,
quality, operations, and system performance. - Lead the team to
improve processes to deliver higher software development velocity
and quality. - Lead team operational strategy defining metrics,
improvements and support. - Foster a culture of continuous
improvement through coaching, mentoring, and feedback. About the
team The Storage team for Aurora DSQL owns the storage service
which manages reading and writing data to handle queries. Our team
is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of
experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment
that celebrates knowledge-sharing and mentorship. Our senior
members enjoy one-on-one mentoring and thorough, but kind, code

the future. - 3 years of engineering team management experience - 7
years of engineering experience - 8 years of leading the definition
and development of multi tier web services experience - Knowledge
of engineering practices and patterns for the full
software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding
standards, code reviews, source control management, build
processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations -
Experience partnering with product or program management teams -
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and
senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software
product features, technical designs, and product strategy -
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing
teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
