Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical
experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one
or more programming languages. 3 years of experience with
developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or
networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or
hardware architecture. Experience across the following areas:
backend, infrastructure design, build systems, large-scale data
processing. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in
Computer Science or related technical field. Experience in
designing and building high throughput and low latency backend
systems. Understanding of distributed systems and developing at
scale. Ability to design and deliver large-scale systems. Ability
to collaborate with other software engineers (SWE), team leads
(TL), and engineering managers, and to build and maintain strong
working relationships across organizations. Ability to solve
ambiguous problems that span across multiple components/domains.

strategy. In this role, you will help the team to achieve this
ambitious goal by building the following foundational platform
capabilities: GCP's highly available, low-latency key-value store
for dynamic resource attributes. ResourceDB aims to provide GCP
first-party clients with a central repository to store and serve
dynamic resource attributes across GCP and various multi-cloud
environments, delivering good data freshness, high uptime, low
latency, and an intuitive onboarding experience. Google Cloud

problems. The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$174,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Make technical contributions to design distributed
systems and build highly scalable serving systems (many billions
scale, highly dynamic). Own the design, architecture and
implementation strategies for sub-systems with massive scale and
high throughput (millions of QPS). Establish and maintain high
technical standards, ensuring code quality, reliability, and
performance. Collaborate with PMs, Engineering leads, and partner
teams to define the goals and drive the strategic roadmap.
Participate in engineering engagement with internal teams across
sites and external partners, influence and manage relationships
with them.
