At BMC, the Field Representative assists with identifying products and scheduling needs on jobsites. Coordinates the workflow between the Sales Department and Clients. Supports customer accounts, promote goods and services available to customers. Provide the highest level of customer service through sales support and account management activities.

Major Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all the superintendents, office staff and sales staff on supported jobs by maintaining daily contact.

+ Facilitate installation of appropriate material on job site. Pre-walk upcoming lots to be sure ready for install.

+ Walk lots after install to ensure quality workmanship and completeness. Reports material shortages to office and salesman (if appropriate).

+ Ability to plan, organize and maintain activities on many different jobsites at once.

+ Knack and ability to both recognize and solve problems.

+ Good communication skills when working with both internal departments and customer's employees.

+ Desire to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

+ Working knowledge of doors and trim, and ability to read and understand plans and specifications are both helpful.

+ Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

+ Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

+ Ability to approach problems both logically and creatively.

+ Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement; identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers; participate as a team player in all phases of the organization; and is open and responsive to change.

+ Provide internal and external customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times.

+ Attention to detail.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

+ Adhere to the Company's safety standards and enforce safety regulations.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

+ Ability to:

+ Read, analyze, and interpret specifications of the job and building materials.

+ Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

+ Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and clients.

+ Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

+ Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

+ Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

+ Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

+ Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

+ Valid Washington Driver's License Required; A clean DMV record is required

+ Thorough knowledge of full product line and yard/store operation.

+ Requires use of tact to avoid conflict in carrying out assignments, as well as exercising continuous judgment.

+ Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software.

Required Experience

+ Minimum Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma required and at least 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
