Data Collector

Responsibilities:

+ Collect and record inventory data of present SKUs utilizing a handheld device

+ Perform in-store and out-of-store sampling to evaluate perceived quality of assigned products

+ Plan and schedule store routing to complete all client objectives within a given time period

+ Maintain consistent communication with Retail Supervisor and other retail personnel

+ Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Associate's Degree or equivalent experience is required

+ 1-3 years of experience in data analysis

+ Analytical and Research Skills

+ Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

+ Team building skills

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Retail Data Collector position will work with Company's management, finance, and clients through the use of a proprietary software system.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

+ Collect and record inventory data of present SKUs utilizing a handheld device

+ Perform in-store and out-of-store sampling to evaluate perceived quality of assigned products

+ Plan and schedule store routing to complete all client objectives within a given time period

+ Maintain consistent communication with Retail Supervisor and other retail personnel

+ Perform additional duties as assigned

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports

Indirect Reports

This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

Travel is not an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is an essential duty or function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level:

(Preferred) High School Diploma or GED or equivlent experience

(Required)Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

+ 0-2 years of experience in data collection. Previous experience in CPG preferred

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

+ Strong analytical and research skills

+ Keen attention to detail

+ Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment and able to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines

+ Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills

+ Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

+ Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures

+ Engage in physical activity including but not limited to, lift and/or push up to 25 pounds, stand, stoop, kneel, stretch and bend for long periods of time

+ Basic computer skills and Internet usage

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Field / Administrative RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office, field, retail store, or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
