is primarily responsible for machining aircraft parts using
approved technical data. - The position requires a reliable
self-motivated machinist that can read and follow directions. Must
be able to work individually and also in a team
environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Machining aircraft parts using approved technical data
- Follow customer's special instructions and requirements
- Follow all company procedures and policies
- Follow all safety and security policies and regulations
- Back up department functions, cross-train in other departments
and perform other duties as assigned
- Report to work on a regular and consistent basis
- Communicate with machinists, shop managers, technicians and
engineers regarding aircraft repairs and R&D/Engineering
tooling design and fabrication.REQUIRED ABILITY TO:
- Read and understand component maintenance/overhaul manuals
- Use continual process improvement to streamline jobs
- Set-up and operate conventional mills and lathes
- Hold tolerance as close as 0.0002"
- Be a reliable self-starter
- Have own tools common to machining practices
- Demonstrate the use of common hand tools
- Demonstrate the use of balance machines, micrometers, dial
calipers, and pressure gauges
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in
English
- Build alliances, partnerships and collaborate with co-workers
in a tactful, professional and respectful manner. - Be a team
player with strong interpersonal skills
- Resolve workplace differences and conflict to achieve goals and
objectives in a professional manner

work cultureREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Strong manual machining abilities, utilizing lathes, mills and
hones
- Competent in machine shop mathematical practices with knowledge
of trigonometry
- Have abilities in in thread cutting, surface grinding, and
honingDESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous aircraft machine shop environment.
- EZ Track experience is a plus
- Master Cam and Solid Works experience preferred
- Bearing Swaging knowledge both on and off machine
preferred
- Familiarity with and ability to interpret aircraft
blueprints
- Familiarity with CNC lathe/mill
- Set-up and operate a HAAS lathe/mill a plusWORKING CONDITIONS:
