Job Description:
Procurement consists of the timely and cost-effective
acquisition of quality materials, supplies and resources. It also
includes co-ordinating with associated groups and leading the
resolution of purchasing problems. Under specific direction,
procure goods and services.
- Input vendor information in SAP.
- Input material specific data into SAP, i.e. weight, price,
delivery time.
- Calculate and input relevant data i.e. safety stock, re-order
points
- Working closely with buyer and Operations Manager.
- Working closely with specialist functions from SEROP and
CNAUS.
- Create weekly progress reports.
- Read and interpret MRP calculations from SAP.
- Place orders to vendors.
- Follow up shipment of material.
- Follow up warehouse stock.
- College degree.
- Good interpersonal communications skills.
- A good team player.
- Good Computer skills in MS Windows / Office and other
applications (Excel expertise required).
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Used to working under time pressures.
